Gloss paper is perfect for photography books. The shiny and vibrant paper makes the colors of the photographs pop in a way that other paper simply cannot compete with. Our recommended cover paper for photography books is 100# Gloss Cover, which will give your photography book a more upscale look and a higher end feel. It is our highest quality premium paper. For inside paper, we recommend 100# Gloss Text. This premium paper features high opacity for two-sided printing that will have minimal show through the opposite side.
Mate paper is going to be your number one choice for photography books that are primarily black and white or sepia. Matte paper will give these photos a more vintage feel because the paper is very low glare. If you are considering matte paper, we would recommend going with a 100# Matte Cover for your cover paper and 100# Matte Text for your inside paper.
We offer 13 standard photography book sizes available in portrait, landscape, and square orientations for our customer’s convenience. If you don’t see a size that is right for your project, you can even choose a custom size for your project. If you want to create a custom size, your height and width should be between 4” and 12”.

In our online photography photo book design tool, you can add or delete pages by using the buttons at the bottom of the tool (shown in the images below). Click the icon with the plus symbol to add pages. Click the icon with the ‘X’ to delete pages. Please note that the design tool will limit your creation to the page requirements of your binding. Saddle stitch has to have a page count between 8 and 92. Perfect bound has to have a page count of 20 – 2” thick maximum.

Yes! You can spread a photo across two pages. You can do this in our online photography photo book design tool two different ways. The first way is to choose a spread in the photo book layout tab. The second way is by dragging the photo that you want to spread across the pages into your design, and click the button ‘Background’ then ‘Spread’.
